Dr. Hoy is motivated to help others learn the value of arts-based learning. She blends the powerful lessons that come from her diverse background as an arts administrator, conductor, performer, and higher education professor with the natural elements of the artistic process to shape multi-disciplinary learning experiences for students, educators, individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Pat is the author of her recently released book—Arts Awareness: A Fieldbook for Awakening Creative Consciousness in Everyday Life. Her book is the source for a series of publications and presentations regarding the depth of knowledge that can come from arts-based learning including: Better Group Communication; Enduring Principles for Creating an Impassioned, Innovative, and Thriving Community; Thriving Together; Passion, Purpose, Persistence; Reaching Our Full Potential; Finding Passion in Your Performance; Arts Awareness Teaching Strategies; The Shaping Force of Musical Patterns; Successful Performance: Creating Momentum and Meaning.

As an educator, speaker, and coach, Pat draws from her vast experience to share stories that demonstrate how experiences in the arts can lead to more conscious decision-making, increased productivity, enhanced communication, better relationships, and creative thinking. Arts Awareness is for educators who want to explore the deeper learning that can help their students thrive. It's for those in organizations who face the difficult task of thriving in a rapidly changing world. It’s for anyone who wants to succeed and reconnect with the love of what they do.

Dr. Hoy holds bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Redlands and a doctoral degree from the University of Arizona.
